Eric Jackson Becomes First Black Woman To Qualify For Olympics Speedskating After Just Four Months On The Ice

Erin Jackson is making history as she becomes the first African American woman to make the US Olympics long track speed skating team after placing third in the %00 meter race during a trial last Friday in Milwaukee, According to yahoo.

Erin’s story is a unique one as she has only been on the long tracked speed skating for four months after switching her sports from inline skating competitions.

” I really wasn’t expecting any of this, just coming in as a newbie, just trying to do the best i can,” Jackson told reporters
